Chong Li,Dr. Li has a long career in basic and translational medicine research of biomarkers and antibody drugs. And hundreds of his articles have been published . Also, Dr. Li has published decades of academic monographs and applied for more twenty patents both in China and USA. Meanwhile, Dr. Li has headed a good few of foundation projects covering Ministry of Science and Technology of China, National Natural Science Foundation of China, Chinese Academy of Sciences, etc. Dr. Li has organized to carry out the China Bladder Cancer Precision Medicine Plan and been granted several times for Science & Technology Award, Innovation & Venue Award, etc.

With integration of information technology and bioscience technology, and rapid development of omics technology, second-generation sequencing technology, molecular biology technology and minimally invasive surgery technology, modern medical model has progressively moved towards an era of precision medicine with direction towards achieving multi-disciplinary and multi-center development. Precision medicine is the new direction and goal for translational medicine, meanwhile, translational medicine on the other hand is the essential path to realize precision medicine. On this basis, there are unprecedented opportunities for bladder cancer basic and translational medicine researches. And targeted therapy and immunotherapy will be the new research directions in promoting development of bladder cancer basic and translational medicine. With diagnosis and treatment of bladder cancer serving as the hub, multi-disciplinary integration of basic medicine, clinical medicine and imaging medicine, together with construction of multicenter collaboration model involving universities, hospitals, scientific research institutions and commercial organizations, will surely promote greater social and economic benefits for a wide range of bladder cancer patients.
